Chicken Legs

Chicken legs comprise the entire lower limb of the bird below the hip joint, consisting of dark meat that is highly flavorful, naturally juicy, and more forgiving to cook than chicken breasts. In butchery, a whole chicken leg is split into two primary cuts—the drumstick and the thigh—separated at the knee joint.
